I love vintage educational charts as art in the home. They’re beautiful and unique while lending a non-fussy, relaxed vibe to a room. Most are quite large, so while they might seem a little pricey, you’ll actually get a big impact for your money. Below is a chart in my living room chart I bought a couple of years ago from Bonnie and Belle on Etsy.
Another great source is Vintage School Charts. They have a huge selection of charts in all price ranges, like this pair of botanicals.
They’d be beautiful over a sofa like in this inspiration photo from Lauren Liess.
Vintage charts are great in kid’s rooms, too. I’m in love with this Arctic map (we have a thing for maps and globes in our house.)
And how about this mama bear with her cubs?
Below is a design board I created using a beautiful chart from the 1910s. From the chart, I pulled together a palette of greens and plums. The Lulu and Georgia rug is gorgeous, isn’t it?
Do you have any of these charts? Would you hang one in your home?
